CHARLESTON, SC – The New York Yankees announced that RiverDogs LHP Garrett Patterson has been placed on the disabled list retroactive to July 3, 2009.  At this time no one will take his place on the active roster.

Patterson made one appearance with the RiverDogs and has not earned a decision after he posted a 20.25 ERA (3ER/1.1 IP) on five hits and issued one walk.

The RiverDogs are in the midst of an eight-game road trip as Charleston battles the Asheville Tourists, an affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, in Game 3 of their four-game set Tuesday, July 6 at 7:05 p.m.
